Marea Alta Housing (Modular)

Affordable housing developer BRIDGE Housing first project in San Leandro, is near a BART station. Bridge is riding the demand for affordable, transit-oriented housing, and the San Leandro project is the nonprofit’s third BART station development in the East Bay.

The mixed-use, transit-oriented development, known as Marea Alta, sits on the site of the former San Leandro BART station parking lot. Phase one includes 115 affordable family style apartments and around 400 parking spaces in two underground levels. Around 240 of below-grade parking spaces will replace BART’s old parking lot. Davis Street Family Resource Center will operate a 5,000-square-foot childcare center in Marea Alta’s ground-floor level.  An expansive podium includes landscaping, seating areas, children’s play area, BBQ and outdoor kitchen.
