In December 2014, Cannon began construction of the largest modular housing development ever built in San Francisco. 5830 Third Street is a joint venture of Holliday Development and L+M Development Partners, designed by Lowney Architecture and Sternberg Benjamin Architects.
The project includes two four-story modular residential towers with subterranean parking, a ground floor with parking and amenities and 136 living units above a concrete podium. Amenities include a fitness center, bike room, and community room with a kitchenette. There is also a large, landscaped courtyard on top of the podium level.
The unit mix includes junior one bedroom, one bedroom, and two bedroom units. Fifteen percent of the units will be income/rent restricted, and the remaining units are market rate.
