Cedar Grove at Jordan Downs

Redevelopment of the Jordan Downs public housing complex originally built in 1943 as temporary housing for industrial workers. It was converted to public housing in the 1950’s. Cannon worked with BRIDGE Housing and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, (HACLA). The redevelopment will connect the surrounding neighborhood with the extension of Century Boulevard. Phase 1a will includes 115 rental units, public infrastructure, and public park.

Cedar Grove is the first phase of new residential construction for the revitalization of Jordan Downs, a 1950s-era public housing development in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Cedar Grove at Jordan Downs consists of 115 affordable rental apartments. Certified LEED® Gold, Cedar Grove maximizes solar opportunities, energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Amenities include a community room, in-unit laundry, a community park with BBQs, and on-site management.
